How the Ornamental Onion Came To Be
The Onion is a fruit.
In other words, an edible rock, like shale but we can eat it and it makes us cry.
It is roughly spherical and would change shape in a river and might float apart.
Water would quickly run in between the layers and what then, what then?
There is no water in the outside layer of the onion.
It is dry and flaky but very protective. It does well with dirt.
Inside, though, white and delicate--the sure sign of water, onion's very own.
To reiterate: The Onion is a bulb.
So, how to debulb the bulb? Why to debulb the bulb?
And why name it after Lucy Ball?
