i wonder if the sculpture part of our dance is saying something about paralysis--i was thinking about the idea of a 'dance for children' , a naive dance with falling acorns--worrying, how far do we get from that childhood acute awareness of every noise in the dark, the fear of dying? i think the sculpture might be connected to those times, lights like stars, the unbearable noise of the accordion--maybe the beginning needs a story, a comfort that dissolves--
oh i stuck my head in a little skunk's hole, and the little skunk said 'oh bless my soul'
take it out, take it out, take it out--remove it.
oh i didn't remove it and the little skunk said, if you don't take it out you will wish you were dead--
take it out, take it out, take it out--remove it.
i removed it...phew too late!
(am i forgetting anything mom?)
gotta get back to poli sci, but i think this could be an interesting direction...gotta talk to cynthia.
