hallmark greetings hanging on our office wall since i can remember (or maybe it wasn't always hanging--i think it may have been laying or leaning, waiting to be hung for a long time), published in 1980, the year i was born:
thank you, lord... for each new day (sun) you give to me,
for earth and sky (three clouds)
and sand and sea (two shells),
for rainbows (a rainbow) after springtime showers,
autumn leaves (two leaves) and summer flowers (flowers),
winter (a snowflake) snowscapes so serene,
harvest fields (two stalks of wheat) of gold and green (a bunch of green grapes),
beauty (a monarch butterfly) shining all around,
lilac scent (a stem of lilac) and robin sound (a robin sitting on flowers),
stars (white stars in blue sky) that twinkle high above
and all the people that i love (a red heart). (a pink rose) amen
