i should be huddling into bed now, not so much because i'm very tired (just a little) but because i know i need the sleep to keep healthy. so just a few words about the evening's activities--watching ross's tap piece, even hours later the music from it was poppin into my head; trying to get warm enough in a short amount of time to dance passably well in the film of cynthia's grad school app piece; pasta, popcorn, tea, rum ball at ross's before playing boggle with rebecca's mom and feeling rather deficient both in vocabulary and mental quickness; and the directing 1 night of scenes, which were actually very moving for a variety of reasons rather difficult to articulate---what a nurturing and safe place swarthmore is! i had one of those moments of awareness while watching the tony kushner scene starring laura bush and kids' pajamas representing dead iraqi children how amazing it must be to really be present for someones growth from baby to adult
