tired bones day--went to bed at 11, slept till 10 and i've been napping on and off too. i think my body's trying trying to get all this gook cleared up and be well again. got a flat tire coming back from swat yesterday, where i picked up sharon's letter of rec and snuck through the sunshine chilling english dpmt bbq. i heard the pop as i was getting onto 76 west and at first i thought it was my engine. kept driving paranoid, looking at my dash for sudden temp increase and at my hood for smoke and at other drivers to see if they were looking at me funnily. not until about 15 min. later, a couple minutes from home, and the sound like a helicopter was louder and louder, the road feeling more rough, did a guy yell at me from his porch 'you've got a flat.' i pulled into the 7-11 parking lot on the corner of lancaster, turned in my app at the cec, then walked home to wait for rebecca, cuz we were supposed to rehearse. 1/2 hour later met rebecca at 7-11 and a very nice 'what would jesus do?' boy helped us change the tire.

we didn't end up rehearsing--i was zombie tired, rebecca has a sprained toe, cynthia tired too (we had both spent the previous night elsewhere, unknown to the other--so strange her packing, morning hug, we keep joking about our philadelphia 'yeahs' and how we're 'roommates'). we met nam and evans at new delhi. i was too tired to be hungry so i just had a sweet lassi (the receipt said 'one sweet lassi--$2.25'). rebecca gave us her impression of people at the alexander technique workshop she went to--their foggy eyes while they're so occupied with being aware and present. honey balls are good--fried milk solids warm and soaked in honey liquid.
